About RPA >> History

RPA began business in 1969 to address the emerging employee benefits market, long before defined contribution plans like 401k plans existed. The company was founded by Hans Banziger and his brother Walter, and other family members have been instrumental in the business over the years.

RPA has been a privately held company since inception and remains so today. In continuous operation since its start, the company became focused entirely upon employee retirement plans with the advent of the 401k market. The specialized offerings of RPA have been the compliance administration and recordkeeping of these retirement plans.

RPA is now a leader in this market, and manages plans all over the US. RPA is known for its personal customer service, and its expertise spanning across the entire spectrum of today’s retirement plans.
